Chapter 14: Unpalatable

Zhang Wu was a blogger who specialized in filming behind the scenes for major film crews. In addition to filming the celebrity, he sometimes also shot the filming process and the crew. Some crews' had strict management, and he could not enter the filming. However, for small web dramas like "The Evil Demon Lord's Three Generations of Love," they were eager for bloggers to post their behind-the-scenes to garner viewers' interest.

Zhang Wu was originally interested in the eye-stinging fluttering moth dance performed by the female lead. He planned to post it on Weibo to ridicule the actress. He didn't expect to turn around and spot a strange actress in the room who was eating props intensely.

The other actors did not move the dishes in front of them, but she was the only one who ate one bite after another as if it was a superb delicacy.

He took a closer look. Hey, isn't that the hot-searched actress, Tang Qiaoqiao, who choked on peppercorn shell?

Soon, the crew's blogger, Zhang Wu, posted a video on his Weibo: "While everyone else is enjoying the Fluttering Moth Dance, look at what Tang Qiaoqiao is doing?"

Zhang Wu had become a popular celebrity. His Weibo fans are very active. Soon, messages swarmed the post.

【Tang Qiaoqiao, stop. Stop eating the props. I'm laughing to death】

【Mother****, what kind of dance is the female lead doing? Can that really be called a dance? I admire Tang Qiaoqiao. She can eat while watching this】

【I just followed Qiaoqiao. How come she became a food blogger now? Doubtful face emoji】

【Quickly ask her if the pepper shells were taken out】

【Am I the only one who is curious about what Tang Qiaoqiao is playing? The designs are really outdated; I feel like I am back to the previous century】

【Although it’s a little weird, it's still pleasing to the eyes. I have to admit her face does wonders, regardless of what the outfit is】

In order to express the characteristics of the fox spirits, all the actresses who were acting as this yaoguai either had ears on their head or a furry fox tail around their necks.

Tang Qiaoqiao had red fox ears on her head, and a hairy tail of the same color hung on her back dragging to the ground. She also wears a red gauze dress shining with glitters.

For others, it would have been a disaster, but for Tang Qiaoqiao, it didn't look too bad. Her eyeliner was drawn with tips slightly raised, and her red eyeshadow was smudged at the end of her eyes. The unique eye makeup gave her a bit of a seductive feeling. Her complexion was originally fair, so the red dress made her skin like pale snow.

The producer said that she had a special charm, and he was right.

Zhang Wu, realizing that Tang Qiaoqiao-related posts often garnered more attention, took advantage of the break from filming, and rushed to Tang Qiaoqiao's side. By the time Zhang Wu reached her side, Tang Qiaoqiao had eaten everything on her plate.

"Hello Qiaoqiao, my name is Zhang Wu. I am an entertainment blogger. Can you say hello to the fans in my live broadcast room?"

Looking at the phone in the man's hand, Tang Qiaoqiao thought to herself, is this an interview?

She hurriedly sat down, waved to the live broadcast room on the phone, and smiled. "Hello, this is Tang Qiaoqiao."

Ahhhhh, her smile was so sweet. The barrage flashing up in the live room grew even more fierce.

Zhang Wu asked a routine question. "What role are you playing this time? Can you reveal it?"

Tang Qiaoqiao pointed to her head. "Isn't it obvious? A fox spirit."

"I saw you were eating just now. Is it the crew's food that good?"

"It's alright. The cucumbers were fine, but the chicken was too dry, and the eggplants were too oily."

"Then how come it looked like you enjoyed your meal, and even finished up the entire thing?"

"Because we can't waste it. It's served for us to eat. As the saying goes, every grain of rice on the plate is the result of hard work. I hate wasting food the most."

An artist with a very positive outlook.

Tang Qiaoqiao and Zhang Wu were chatting happily, but the other actresses next to her were upset. They all had supporting roles in the drama, so how come there was someone filming Tang Qiaoqiao?

One of the girls closest to Tang Qiaoqiao listened to the conversation between Tang Qiaoqiao and Zhang Wu without missing a word, and then, she quietly got up and walked out.

Not long after, a balding middle-aged man with a big belly appeared on set and bellowed, "Who said that the dishes I made weren’t delicious?"

"It's Chef Fan, who offended him?"

"Who else? It's Ms.Tang; I heard her say that Chef Fan's food was not good."

Long Tao Nu and several other actresses gathered together and looked at Tang Qiaoqiao, waiting for a good show.

Chef Fan was not only the head chef of the crew but also a relative of the producer. He had a very bad temper. He had previously scolded anyone who dared to be dissatisfied with his food: "If you have the ability, get out of here. Don't eat what I make in the future."

With the producer's protection, no one dared to comment on his food anymore.

This time Tang Qiaoqiao hit a hard nail.

"It's you. Did you say that my food is terrible?"

Tang Qiaoqiao looked confused at the fat man standing in front of her. Zhang Wu was also dumbfounded by this scene, but he quickly reacted and adjusted his camera to focus on the two parties. This scene would undoubtedly be popular with his viewers.

'Fight, fight.'

"Answer me, did you say that my dishes were unpalatable?" Chef Fan asked again.

Tang Qiaoqiao was very frank. "I said the chicken was too dry, and the eggplant was too oily."

"Fuck your mother!" Master Fan glanced at Tang Qiaoqiao's delicate frame and unfamiliar face, assuming she was just an insignificant figure in the industry. With even less restraint, he continued, "Have you ever cooked? Can you tell the difference between salt and sugar, soy sauce and vinegar? Huh? Who do you think you are to lecture this Laozi?"

[T/N: Laozi is a very condescending way of saying "me/I."]

Tang Qiaoqiao's expression turned cold as she observed Master Fan, whose chef's uniform was splattered with yellow grease. He gestured wildly while speaking, saliva flying, and his attitude was arrogant, reminiscent of a murderous butcher—one of the types of cooks she disliked the most.

"You used an old hen, one that’s been raised for over three years. That’s why the meat is tough and particularly cheap—so you can pilfer the rest of the funds for yourself. You didn’t blanch the chicken beforehand to remove the smell, and you simmered it for far too long—at least over two hours. Am I wrong? Should I go on? Do you want me to continue?" Tang Qiaoqiao's face was calm, and every word made Master Fan speechless.

The scene became quiet.

Zhang Wu was filming happily. 'Wow, the situation has reversed!'

The author has something to say: Because the original title was too long and would get folded on the list, I changed it to a shorter one, but the main storyline remains unchanged. I'm really not good at naming and always feel like my titles aren't very engaging o(╥﹏╥)o. I don't even know if this new one is better. I hope my dear readers won't mind!
