Chapter 2 Teaser

Chapter 2: I’ll Kiss You if You Don’t Call Me Shifu (2)

"Jeez, got it, got it, coming...", Ye QiQi pursed her lips unhappily and blinked her big bright eyes as she glanced at the maidservants standing by the trunk of the tree. Just as she was preparing to descend, she heard a sound of "Ka cha" coming from beside her.

At that moment, everyone froze.

"Ka cha", another crack rang out.

Ye QiQi's rosy face instantly paled. She rigidly straightened her body, and with a teary face looked down at the maids below and weakly implored, "That sound just now....  was the sound of the tree branch about to break, wasn't it?"

As for the maids, necks stretched, still gazing upwards, their faces were even more pale as they nodded in unison.

"Wh--..... What do I do then?" Ye QiQi's pudgy little hands tightly grasped the branch as she asked, her voice trembling.

Those several maidservants all stared at each other. One maid, obviously older than her peers, shouted in panic, "Miss! No matter what, please don't move! I... I'll go get the Master right away!"

Her sentence barely finished, she turned and ran towards the direction of the manor.

Ye QiQi didn't even have the chance to respond before she felt the branch under her droop even further with another "Ka cha" sound.

“Little Miss, be careful….”

The maids formed a circle below the tree and couldn't help but yell.

Ye QiQi could barely hold back her tears. If she'd known it'd turn out like this earlier, she would have long since obediently came down. With Li Yun calling her grandpa, at the bare minimum she'd be in for a horrible scolding now...

When Mo HanQing and his guard walked into Flying Crane Manor, the first thing they saw was a throng of maidservants clothed in sky blue dresses gathered around an old banyan tree. With their heads all gazing upwards, even though the men filled up the entire courtyard, no one noticed them entering.

Mo HanQing's guard, originally marching behind him, shifted to the front upon entering the Manor. Upon seeing the crowd of maids all looking upwards, he too couldn't help but raise his neck and look up out of curiosity. Alas, with the setting sun in his eyes, he was blinded and couldn't see anything.

Mo HanQing wrinkled his brows and proceeded to lead his guard further into the manor. Just as he was about to announce his arrival, he heard a "Ka cha" above his head, immediately followed by a pink figure falling down from the sky.

"Young Miss!" Upon the descent of the figure, all the maidens in the courtyard shouted out in panic.

All of a sudden, Mo HanQing felt an object slamming towards his head. Surprised, he attempted to quickly dodge out of the way. Just as he was about to move, with a "DONG", that object landed squarely on his body.

The sudden weight instantly crushed him into the ground, the billowing white robes contracting a layer of dirt the second they brushed the ground.

Gongzi!!!” The guard behind Mo HanQing was startled, this situation happened so suddenly, he had no time to pull his master aside, his master was already lying on the ground.

A petite pink figure, half lying on the body of his own master.

The moment Ye Qiqi fell, she couldn’t help closing her eyes, but the pain never came.

There was silence all around, no sound, but there was a warm touch under the palm of her hand.

Immediately after, a stern old voice came from far and near shouting: “Qiqi!!!”

Ye Qiqi’s body trembled, suddenly opening her eyes, looking at Li Yun, followed by the rapidly approaching grandpa of hers. She couldn’t help but shrink her neck back awkwardly and smiled: “Grandpa…You’re here…”
