TDU Chapter 354
Chapter 354 Strike Against Evil
The moment Han Yimo’s words fell, everyone felt the entire room tremble slightly.
“What…?” Chu Tianqiu frowned and looked at him. “Are you implying we {can’t survive without Qi Xia}?”
“You {supporting roles} have already been abandoned by the {Savior}…” Han Yimo’s voice trembled as he said, “And here you all are, still shamelessly planning the future…? No {supporting role} in any story ever succeeds…!”
“Supporting role…?”
Chu Tianqiu and Yan Zhichun both paused, realizing the man had probably lost his mind. They were both prominent figures at {End Point}, how had they become someone else’s {supporting roles}?
“What are we supposed to do…? What are we supposed to do now?!” Han Yimo said nervously. “What part of the plot is this…?”
Doctor Zhao turned and patted Han Yimo on the shoulder. “Xiōngdì… calm down. Things aren’t as bad as you say.”
“Is this not bad enough?!” Han Yimo shouted. “This situation is a total disaster!! I, the {protagonist}, have been f*cking separated from the {Savior}!!”
No one could keep up with Han Yimo’s train of thought; they all just stared at him blankly.
“My god…” Han Yimo crouched down, clutching his hair as the entire school building seemed to shake again. “What am I supposed to do next…? Who can protect me now?!”
Yun Yao sensed something dangerous about the man before her. She shielded Tian Tian behind her and looked at him with concern. “Why don’t you try to protect yourself?”
“How can I protect myself?! What if I encounter a problem I can’t solve?!” Han Yimo’s eyes gleamed with madness as he looked up. “What if, just like in the real world… there’s an earthquake here?!”
No sooner had he spoken, the entire room began to shake violently.
“Ho–Hold on a moment…”
Chu Tianqiu felt unease prickling at him. Was this man also a {Reverberatee}? Why was he another unknown entity?
He could actually shake the very ground beneath them?
“If this place…has an earthquake like that…” Han Yimo kept his head lowered, trembling all over, “if the walls crack… if the ceiling collapses…”
Before he could finish, fine cracks began appearing across the walls from the subtle shaking, and dust continuously drifted down from the ceiling.
Kim Wonhun sensed danger immediately and appeared in front of Han Yimo, pinning him to the ground.
“Enough!” He grabbed Han Yimo’s collar and shouted, “What kind of ability do you have? Why talk nàyàng like that?”
“Motherfu…” Han Yimo was startled by Kim Wonhun. “You tyrant… Ganging up to kidnap a girl—this kind of scene is an overused trope… How could an {evil tyrant} grab the {protagonist} by the collar?!”
“What…?”
From the distance came a rushing wind, as if something was flying at high speed.
Doctor Zhao was about to speak when suddenly several silver objects fell before him. He froze for a moment and looked down to find a few pieces of sycee fragments[1] lying on the ground at his feet.
At the same moment, several pieces of silver sycee fragments rained down before Yun Yao, Tian Tian, Auntie Tong, Ole Lu, and Li Xiangling.
The fragments scattered across the floor like hail falling inside the room.
{Whoosh}! A sharp sound exploded as a pitch-black object smashed through the glass and hovered menacingly above their heads.
A sweeping glance revealed a massive jet-black greatsword, slithering like a venomous snake in midair, its tip aimed threateningly at the gathered group.
“Those deemed {virtuous} were rewarded with one and seven-tenth taels (85 grams) of fine silver…while those deemed {evil}...are pierced through the dantian by {Seven Evil},” Han Yimo sneered, “Let me see… which of us is more {evil}?”
Kim Wonhun felt a chill run down his spine and immediately released Han Yimo, cautiously stepping back.
“{Seven Evil}...?”
The giant sword rotated its tip in midair, sometimes pointing at Han Yimo, sometimes at Kim Wonhun, as if deliberating which to strike.
Moments later, the greatsword lunged at Kim Wonhun with a terrifying roar of slicing wind, aiming straight toward his abdomen at a speed no one could react to.
Kim Wonhun hastily shut his eyes and vanished from where he stood just as the swordtip came within a finger’s breadth.
The black sword didn’t stop; it slashed through the floor, toppling dozens of tables and chairs. Everyone inside scrambled to dodge. Ole Lu hurriedly shielded Auntie Tong in a corner, while Yun Yao continued to shield Tian Tian behind her.
Whatever this technique was, it was utterly terrifying.
One person wielded a flying sword, while another could vanish at will. This surreal clash, as if between superhumans, unfolded right before their eyes, leaving everyone helpless—only able to scatter and evade.
The greatsword smashed over half the furniture, then swirled back through the air with reluctant dragon-like roars before targeting Kim Wonhun once more.
“Hey…” Yun Yao realized the direness of the situation. The greatsword was massive, if it kept flying wildly inside the room, no one would survive. “Han Yimo, calm down. Are you trying to kill everyone here?”
Han Yimo turned his head towards her with a bitter smile. “You think that sword’s under my control…?”
“What…?”
“Those who haven’t received the silver, run—after Kim Wonhun dies, it’ll be your turn,” Han Yimo said with a resigned tone. “I’m afraid even I won’t escape.”
“You have no control over this sword?!”
“That’s right.” Han Yimo nodded. “It will keep slaughtering the wicked; none of us can escape.”
As soon as he finished speaking, the {Seven Evil Sword} surged through the air again, darting like a deadly dart straight at Kim Wonhun. Kim Wonhun hurriedly shut his eyes and vanished to the opposite side of the room.
Yun Yao hesitated, then looked around cautiously at everyone present. Among them… whose {Reverberation} could possibly counter this sword?
Chu Tianqiu stood motionless in the center of the room, a slow smile creeping across his lips.
"Truly... only {God} could accomplish such feats… This is wonderful..."
The {Seven Evil Sword} sliced past Chu Tianqiu several times, the immense sword energy rustling his clothes loudly. He slowly turned and said to Yun Yao, “Yun Yao, leave. Take Li Xiangling with you, and leave.”
Hearing this, Yun Yao carefully turned towards him. “Really?”
“Really.” Chu Tianqiu nodded. “Kim Wonhun is trapped; I can’t keep you here any longer. Go.”
Yun Yao noticed the strange expression on his face—as if he had given up on something, or perhaps come to a realization.
“Xiao Li, Tian Tian, let’s go,” Yun Yao said. “I don’t want to stay here another moment.”
“Alright.” Both women nodded and ran along the wall, exiting the classroom one after another.
Meanwhile, inside the room, the {Seven Evil Sword} still flew relentlessly, targeting Kim Wonhun. Fortunately, the sword’s bulk made it somewhat unwieldy, allowing Kim Wonhun to barely survive, but avoiding it became increasingly difficult to prevent harm to others.
“Doctor Zhao,” Chu Tianqiu suddenly called out, “act now. I can make you the {Deputy Leader} of {Passage to Heaven}.”
“{Deputy Leader}…?” Doctor Zhao paused.
“That’s right. Whatever you want, just tell me, and I’ll do my best to fulfill it,” Chu Tianqiu nodded. “From now on, you two will follow me.”
“Is that so…?”
Doctor Zhao thought for a moment, then furrowed his brows lightly. The {Seven Evil Sword} above instantly shattered into a vast cloud of black sand that drifted down to the floor.
Han Yimo stared in astonishment, turning to look at Doctor Zhao.
Why did this man possess the power to break the {Seven Evil Sword}?
Why did everyone seem to have hidden identities?
“What storyline is this?”
TL Note: Oh, Han Yimo, please open your eyes.
Footnote:
[1] Sycee fragments (碎银子) were irregular silver pieces used as currency in ancient China, especially during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Created by cutting ingots/sycee or casting small lumps, their value was based on weight using precise dengzi scales. Used mainly for large transactions alongside copper coins, merchants prioritized weight and purity over shape.
