Chapter 2

The Appearance of the Seven Ex-boyfriends…. WTF? (Part 5)

Zhang Xuanxuan's master was also surnamed Zhang. He was a famous Feng Shui master, and he built a late Qing Dynasty styled courtyard mansion in the suburbs. One gate led to another, each section having a rich variety of flowers and shrubs. The house employed gardeners, cleaners, nannies, and cooks. It was completely in the style of a high-profile and luxurious wealthy businessman in the late Qing Dynasty. Tian Jingzhi’s eyes were red with envy. 

Zhang Shensuan wore a pair of sunglasses, a top hat, a goatee, and donned a long cyan coat; he dressed like a comedian. Zhang Shensuan calculated her eight characters[1] and looked at her palm, and then at her face. He was worthy of being the master of a sloppy woman. Tian Jingzhi's face became darker than his. Was there no explanation for the meaning of the word ‘solitary’?

Zhang Shensuan twisted his beard and said, "You do not lack wealth, but you live a bumpy/poor life. Your peach blossoms are in full bloom[2], but you are destined to be a lone star and never to be married. I have lived for many years, but never have I seen such an unfortunate fate."

"Someone told me that good luck is the reward of good deeds. And I think my luck is also changing. Although I crashed my car, my popularity rose and more people are noticing me."

“Generally speaking, we call this kind of situation a final radiance of the setting sun, it’s the last light before everything turns dark…”

“Are you saying that it’ll quickly go downhill?”

Zhang Shensuan twisted his mustache and profoundly said, "The heaven’s will shall not be leaked."

Tian Jingzhi calmly drank her tea, she was already used to her bad luck for a long time now, “Just tell me, how do I save myself?”

"Your fate is set in stone, you need to find someone whose life is even harder than that stone. Keep them by your side to block the evil and your life may be changed."

“How hard does it have to be? So hard, that when I slam his head against a rock, he’ll still live?”

Zhang Xuanxuan shouted nervously, "Tian Jingzhi, don't mess around! My master's eight characters are light! And he had just done a deviation for you. He’s prone to a bloody disaster..."

Immediately afterward, Zhang Shensuan shouted, “Ah!!”.  He had fallen and his head hit the landscape stone next to him. A stream of blood dripped from his right frontal lobe.

Tian Jingzhi pointed at his head tremblingly: "Master, you are bleeding."

Zhang Shensuan touched his forehead and saw the blood on his hand. He said a single sentence in anger before fainting.

“Miss Tian, you are too unlucky…”

Forget it, at least she had gotten some leads, even though she felt that the old liar was not being scientific at all. But she would rather believe it than not. Tian Jingzhi was holding her laptop as she made a post online: “Looking for a housemate. 1,000 dollars a month and the co-tenant must believe in feng shui. Will be asked to check if our eight characters match. Interested parties please call.”

She was now a pauper whose cards had been maxed out. Although a thousand yuan was like a drop in an empty bucket, fly meat was still meat.

It was a steal to be able to live in a beautiful villa for just one thousand, so Tian Jingzhi received dozens of inquiries within two days. However, when their eight characters were reported to Zhang Xuanxuan, her lady's head shook like a rattle. In addition, she even poured cold water on her by saying, “To tell you the truth, finding someone with a harder fate than you was like looking for a needle in a haystack.” 

Tian Jingzhi never understood this idiom, a pack of needles would only cost a dollar. Why would anyone bother looking for one in a haystack?
