Chapter 77.2

In the following days, Tei Cher noticed something was off with Lae Leon. It was hard to say exactly what was strange. They still went home together, but spoke less, and Lae Leon no longer let him put his arm around him.

They still did homework together, but sometimes when Tei Cher dozed off and woke up, he’d find Lae Leon frozen in the same position, even if a book had fallen from his hands, he didn’t notice.

It was like he was under a spell.

This strange behavior lasted until summer break.

One day, some boys from the communal apartment suddenly showed up at Lae Leon’s house. His parents were at work during the day, so he was home alone.

One boy grinned slyly, “It took a lot of work to get this tape. Only your place can play this. Let’s watch it together.”

Lae Leon looked back at Tei Cher. “What’s this?”

“I don’t know either. They said it’s something good.”

The boys pulled the curtains, popped in the tape, then sat cross-legged in front of the TV, staring intently, holding their breath, not daring to make a sound. Their faces all shared a strange expectation.

Tei Cher and Lae Leon sat on the sofa, the former glanced at the other boys and remarked, “Don’t you think these guys look like those about to learn the Sunflower Manual?” Tei Cher whispered.

Lae Leon covered his mouth to keep from laughing out loud.

Tei Cher chuckled quietly along with him.

But soon, the laughter died down.

On the TV suddenly appeared two naked figures, a man and a woman, discussing in great harmony.

For a moment, no one dared to make a sound, afraid to reveal their emotions. Curiosity, surprise, delight, unease, and tension swirled together, heating up everyone’s faces.

At first, Tei Cher found it interesting. After all, at this age, curiosity about such things was totally normal. The boys often talked about these topics in private.

But as he watched, he noticed that while everyone’s faces flushed, their hands began acting on their own. One guy even slipped his hand inside his pants; every single one of them reacted.

Except for him.

Inside, he felt completely unmoved.

But fearing that maybe he was suffering from something like impotence at such a young age, and not wanting anyone to notice, he decided to play along, exhaling heavily as if overwhelmed with excitement.

“Huff, huff.”

In truth, it sounded more like a pig squealing.

The person next to him’s shoulder twitched.

He immediately turned his head and to his surprise, saw Lae Leon laughing!

What’s so funny?

No way... Could he have found out about my impotence?

He was about to say something when Lae Leon quickly covered his mouth, shook his head, and glanced around at the others, signaling him to stay quiet.

Tei Cher nodded, his lips pressed against Lae Leon’s soft, warm palm.

He wondered if Lae Leon’s palm was as soft as his face.

Thinking that, he instinctively stuck out his tongue and gave it a quick lick.

Lae Leon was startled, pulling his hand back and lowering his head, silent, his ears blazing red.

Tei Cher pinched his ear, wanting to say, “Your ear’s so hot, did you catch a cold?” But then he remembered he wasn’t supposed to say anything, so he stayed silent, quietly staring at Lae Leon’s flushed ear, his soft, fluffy hair, long eyelashes, defined jawline, and rosy lips.

He looked just like a little girl—no, actually, he was becoming even more beautiful than most girls.

Meanwhile, the voices from the TV grew louder and faster, and even Tei Cher’s thick skin started feeling embarrassed.

Lae Leon brushed his hand away, stood up, and went back to his room. When he turned to close the door, he saw Tei Cher following him.

“I don’t want to watch anymore either,” Tei Cher said.

Lae Leon nodded, moved the small wooden table to the center of his room, and pulled out a stack of homework. “Then let’s do our homework.”

“.”

But the sounds outside kept going nonstop, with occasional heavy breaths from their friends…how could they focus on homework with that going on?

Seeing Lae Leon bury his head in his hands, covering his ears, Tei Cher simply picked him up and laid him on the bed.

He then pulled the blanket over them both with a smile. “Now we can’t hear anything. Let’s take a nap, and by the time we wake up, they’ll have finished watching.”

“I’m not sleeping,” Lae Leon replied.

“Then let’s just wait a bit longer, it should be almost over,” Tei Cher remarked.

The two lay under the blanket for a while, sweat lightly forming on their faces. Tei Cher stared at him for a moment, reaching out to wipe his sweat, but Lae Leon suddenly shrank back.

“What are you afraid of? Like I’m going to hit you or something. Tell me, how long has it been since I last hit you?” Tei Cher said.

Lae Leon glared at him, “You still have the nerve to say that? You’re worse than those ruffians. You beat me when we were kids, and now you’re… you’re—”

“Now what? Haven’t I been good to you?” Tei Cher grinned, moving closer the more Lae Leon tried to pull away, until the latter back was pressed against the wall. Then he laughed softly, “Why have you been ignoring me lately?”

“I haven’t,” Lae Leon denied.

“You have,” Tei Cher said, trapping his legs with his own. “Are you going to admit it or not?”

Lae Leon struggled to free his legs but couldn’t, so he angrily grabbed at Tei Cher’s face.

They wrestled on the bed—pinching, kicking, scratching, pushing—him on top, then him underneath.

Something about it felt... off.

Tei Cher looked down at the person pinned beneath him. After being stifled for a while and tussling for some time, Lae Leon’s face was flushed with a mix of pale and red, his eyes both defiant and evasive.

Tei Cher’s heart suddenly tightened. Heat surged through his body, a burning wave shooting from his lower abdomen downwards, uncontrollable—he just wanted to let it flow freely.

After a moment, Lae Leon’s eyes widened abruptly, his lips trembling as he dared not speak loudly. Finally, in a barely audible whisper, he stammered, “You–You’re… uh…”

“What about me?”

Lae Leon’s face turned as red as a tomato. He pushed Tei Cher aside, immediately turning to face the wall, covering his head with his hands. “Look for yourself.”

Tei Cher lay back on the bed and glanced down.

“.!.”

He excitedly grabbed Lae Leon’s arm, shaking it back and forth. “This is great, Xiao Lion, I’m not impotent!”

Lae Leon: "."

After a long moment, Tei Cher said with a bit of grievance, “Xiao Lion, I feel kinda uncomfortable.”

Lae Leon lifted the blanket and turned around, seeing him lying there like a salted fish. He said, “You can handle it yourself.”

“Ho–How do I do that?” Tei Cher’s big eyes were full of confusion. “Teacher said that wet dreams will go away after sleeping, but I can’t fall asleep now. I feel so hot and really bloated.”

Lae Leon looked at him in surprise. “This isn’t a wet dream. Haven’t you ever experienced this before?”

“I don’t think so.”

Seeing his brow furrow into a knot, Lae Leon awkwardly said, “Don’t tell anyone about what happens today.”

“Hm?”

While Tei Cher was still confused, Lae Leon’s hand reached out.

“!”

So this is such a nice thing?

Tei Cher felt so invigorated he started to hum and whimper, but Lae Leon covered his mouth with the blanket.

Lae Leon finally managed to calm down his first burning desire, but before long, the second one came again.

“—Does this ever end?!”

Tei Cher gradually learned, trying it himself, then complained, “It’s not as good as when you do it.”

Lae Leon: "."

When the film ended, the boys rushed to use the restroom, only to see Tei Cher and Lae Leon inside washing the blanket.

“So diligent?” one of them asked.

“Mm,” Lae Leon lowered his head, avoiding their gaze, his face flushed. “This idiot spilled milk all over my bed.”

Tei Cher added, “Yep, that’s exactly what happened. There’s absolutely no secrets between us.”

Lae Leon scooped a ladle of water and splashed it on his head.

Tei Cher was then thrown out along with the rest, and all his buddies had expressions that said they were still savoring the moment.

“Tei Cher, you’re smiling a bit too much. You need to tone it down, got it?”

“Got it.” Tei Cher pinched the corner of his grin, then stepped back a few paces and looked up at the ancient tree in the courtyard. He’d always thought it was especially tall.

He jumped on the spot, plucked a leaf, smiled, and turned to run back, stopping at the gate.

Xiao Lion.”

Lae Leon was hanging up bed sheets and rolled his eyes at him.

Tei Cher was genuinely happy. Xiao Lion had gotten over his unexplainable little episode.

“Here, catch this.” Tei Cher blew on the leaf like a paper airplane and tossed it out.

Lae Leon grumbled, “Are you stupid? It’s not like that leaf’s going to fly to me.”

No sooner had he said that, Tei Cher swiftly dashed inside, his hair half-dry and sticking to his head, leaping and bounding in the sunlight.

He caught the leaf midair and ran to Lae Leon, placing it gently in his palm.

“This is nothing valuable,” Tei Cher sighed.

Lae Leon: “Are you teasing me?”

“No, really, I just wanted to give it to you,” Tei Cher smiled. “I’m in a good mood; I want to give you everything I see.”
